After 16 hours of labor, mama decided it was the right time for an epidural. Now feeling more relaxed, we decided to take a nap. The nurses noticed Baby Lucas' heart rate was unsteady and dropping. Since mama was only 4cm dilated and had so much farther to go until pushing time... the doctors felt it was time for an emergency c-section. Within minutes, we were all rushed to surgery.
